dev's Biography
Born and raised in small-town Michigan, I’ve always had a passion for creativity and connection. After earning a full-ride degree in Creative Writing from Saginaw Valley State University, I explored a range of creative and community-focused roles—from event planning and education to marketing and design. Along the way, I’ve traveled across the nation and around the world—meeting incredible people, experiencing diverse cultures, and learning something new with every step of the journey.
During the pandemic, I worked with a Chicago-based marketing agency, collaborating with mentors including a former Creative Director for Coca-Cola and Skittles—an experience that sharpened my eye for storytelling and brand impact.
Today, as the owner of Dev Creative Services, I combine graphic design, photography, and marketing to help small businesses and nonprofits stand out and grow. I’m also the producer and host of the Comedy Slam! Contest at Mt. Pleasant’s historic Broadway Theater, where creativity and community take center stage. My work is rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and a drive to make every project both meaningful and effective.
I have a passion for combating loneliness through intentional effort. And I have a passion for Dungeons & Dragons. If you don't know what a Forever DM is, ask your local nerd—they'll commend me for my service.
